SUMMARY: It's Christmas! There are gifts and way too many decorations and Christmas cookies and Christmas dinner and it will be awkward and awesome and Christmasy.

Charlie is standing in the living room before everybody has arrived, with Cass, staring at the decorations. You could probably land a plane with the amount of lights she's strung up all over the place, really, but she looks...worried.

"Do you think we need another tree?"

There are already two in the living room, to put it in perspective.

[batghoul]

"No," Cass answers immediately, busying herself with taste-testing. Not to mention that one of the trees they already had was incomplete--and it totally wasn't her fault that decorating a tree was so much less interesting than training.

[foreverbouncing]

"But it could be a little one. Like sort of a sad-but-adorable Charlie Brown tree right...there."

She waves her hand towards what amounts to the only non-decorated spot along probably the entire wall off the room.

[batghoul]

"No." She nibbles at a cookie, mentally sighing to herself. It's hopeless. There's going to be another tree in the room, isn't there?

[foreverbouncing]

"Just a small one, though. I mean like, knee high...do they make trees that small?" She really should've looked into this more before Christmas Day, probably.

She paused though, and went to get a cookie for herself, coming back nibbling on it too. "Babs would probably yell at me if I got another tree though..."

[blondevigilante]

Steph walks in the room with a smile. "They make them that small and do you really think she'd notice just one more little tree?" Clearly Stephanie was of the belief that there can never be too many Christmas trees.

[batghoul]

Cass is busying herself with some last-minute decorations that Charlie wanted put up, as if the room wasn't decorated enough already. She has a bundle of glowing Christmas lights in her hands. And across her shoulders. And wrapped around her legs. She's hopelessly trying to untangle them, with an almost murderous expression on her face.

Secretly rearranging the presents under the tree with her teleporting power, Babs looks up to see Cass entangled in lights. Could she help? Yes. But first she winks, which Cass may or may not pick up means that she just took a picture with her technopathic powers instead.

It's times like these that Cass wishes that she knew more curse words. She just narrows her eyes at Babs and redoubles her efforts. She doesn't need her help! She's going to get these lights untangled on her own! She's... completely wrapped up and unable to move now!

[sibyllant]

"You are sooo lucky we don't have any small children," Babs comments as she wheels closer to gently poke at Cass, ignoring the fact that the only way that this family was going to get any of those would probably have to involve specific portions of her own body. After some more not-very-investigatory poking and tugging, Babs 'resorts' to teleporting the lights off of Cass and onto the floor, in a bundle.

"Thanks," she mutters, trying to remember that she's supposed to be full of cheer and goodwill toward men. And as long as Babs is around, she's getting drafted into the decoration brigade. She thrusts the pile of lights as she takes one end and begins to string them around the room. "Hold."

Well, at least there is someone Josh knows, and she looks like she might even welcome a little help. Josh can only save her from the lights though, and not Charlie.

"Just... here, hold still and let me see if I can help."

[batghoul]

"Have it... under control," she says before stumbling and falling onto a couch thanks to the tangled mess of wire around her legs.

"Oh really?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest with a very amused look.

"Maybe I'll just enjoy the show then. Or maybe I can post it to the network in case someone else is in the same situation and wants to see how to get it under control?" he teased.

She struggles momentarily to try and free herself, before giving him the iciest glare imaginable. If she wasn't at his mercy right now...

"Fine," she grumbles, obviously relenting to his help.
