[A large ice-skating rink is set up. For five dollars, you can rent skates for about an hour. Holiday music plays in the background.]

[She's not nearly as upset as she was several hours ago. Now it's more in the back of her mind than anything, though it lingers. She's dressed warmly for the occasion, bundled up so she doesn't catch a cold. The magician has been quiet, for the most part, since she's met up with him. There's nothing to worry about, though. She's been holding his hand the whole while, occasionally giving their arms a swing back and forth, a sign that she's not a lost cause.]

[Aware of that fact, she has tried to talk to him a bit, occasionally offering a (not quite) reassuring smile.] I haven't gone for a really long time. I can't remember the last time, in fact. So, ah, bear with me if I fall a lot? [She grasps in the dark for a moment, trying to continue the conversation as her mind trails off to thoughts of less comforting things.] How about you?

I can do that -- but only if it's a little. [She inches closer and grabs his arm, wrapping hers around his, as if she's cold. She's not complaining though, so she might not be.] Like riding a bike, huh? So you liked cowboys and ice skating as a kid. [Silently, Zee wonders if he was picked on a lot...]

[Not yet! Though she is being suspiciously still...]

I wouldn't know. I wasn't exactly normal. My best friends were my father and a rabbit named Spoo. [Thankfully, he hadn't mentioned it yet. She might poke a little fun at him, if he ever did, but he should know by now that she doesn't mean any harm by it.] You don't talk much about your childhood. Not that I do, I mean.

[She's stiff as she moves forward just a little, inch by inch, tugging him toward her when she's far enough away.] C'mon, impress me!

Well, okay... if you say so. [Even right now, it would be a welcome distraction to hear about his childhood. She wanted to know as much as possible about him.]

Yay! [She just barely claps her hands together when he moves away from her, as if she's afraid that if she moves more than that, she'll topple over. Though she does seem to not be having any problem standing up on her lonesome...]

You're so cool. [Though in a teasing tone, she hopes that the fact that she hadn't taken her eyes off him the whole while and was slowly moving toward him in a less graceful manner than he had, but still with little difficulty. Once she reaches him, she places a gloved hand on his arm and pulls him down to her level for a quick peck on the cheek.] Sometimes you're really full of surprises. In a good way.

Darn, you caught me. Should've known better than to try and trick you. [She isn't holding on nearly as tightly this time around, more honest (and confident).] I don't think that'll be happening anytime soon.

You caught me. I'm just really good with misdirection. I am, in fact, not magic.

[She's feeling much better now, especially in his company, so it's much easier to talk about it.] Yeah. As good as I can be, really. It's not like I'm alone or anything. I've got Barry and Diana and John and Bruce and Rory and Amy and so many other people. And you're here with me. [She laces her fingers with his, as if it makes a point.] As long as you're here, I'll be fine.
