Even a smile can hide the teeth behind it. )
He doesn't say anything when he enters the warehouse, just hovers by the door, feeling the place out. ]

He gives it another minute or so before stepping out of the shadows. He'll be careful with this one. ]
Good evening.

Yeah. Hi.

Perceiving that Heine isn't one for formalities, Slade gets down to business. ]
Lights on.
[ At the verbal command, sure enough, the atmosphere brightens, revealing a dozen robotic ninjas, all armed and ready for combat. ]
Your task is to dismantle these, however you see fit. At my command, they will start moving about the room. If you damage one without destroying it at the first try, it will retaliate. If you damage two, a third will intervene. Once half have been destroyed, the rest will automatically converge.
You have four minutes.
[ A brief pause. ]
Ready?

[ Heine's already eye-balling these machines. He's not sure exactly if bullets will manage to take them down alone, but there's always the manual approach. Heine spent his whole childhood dismanteling monsters three times his size. He's not worried about a bunch of robots. ]

Engage.
[ Immediately, the robots come to life, taking off in different directions with more agility and speed than is humanly possible. Bullets themselves won't be enough to take them down, but he has every confidence the good doctor's creation will be more than capable of handling the challenge. ]

To Slade's credit, it's a harder fight than Heine expected. Even afterwards, standing with the remains of the robots at his feet, Heine has to take a few minutes to breath, smoke curling off his body as his wounds heal and his body knits itself back together. He kicks a few pieces of metal aside, before turning a circle, looking around the warehouse, waiting for the verdict. ]

Giving Heine the necessary time to recover, once the young man is suitably put together again, he steps out, surveying the results with satisfaction. He's pleased. ]
Impressive. [ Truly, a high compliment coming from him. ] As long as the work is to your liking, you can consider yourself hired.

[ Heine's just assuming it'll be like home, with him rescuing less competant people from getting their asses handed to them. He plucks at his shirt. Sigh, scorchmarks. Nill's going to be more worried than usual. ]
Reply
[ A statement lacking embellishment. He expects Heine has seen plenty of ugly things in his life so this shouldn't surprise him. ]
There may be times I'll require your services for other things, but most of your assignments will be simply that. If there's a particular job you would rather opt out of, for whatever reason, I'll simply pass it on.
What say you?

Yes.

Your first assignment. The details are inside.
[ No big loss to humanity, really. Aside from being particularly defiant, the man dealt drugs to children -- not worth bargaining with or sparing. ]
Burn it when you're finished, and contact me when it's done. I'll see to it that you're paid.

Timeframe?
[ Heine wants to know, specifically, if this is something he needs to attend to right away. Like tonight. ]
Reply
One week.
[ He's rather flexible about these things so long as the job gets done. Besides, Heine has already been shot at enough for one night. It can wait. ]

Alright.

Until then.
