All her plans had come together perfectly. Thanks to Jaime and Seras, there was food and drink for everyone, and Laurie had spent her evening after work setting up the area for Aaron's birthday party.
The booze was plentiful, as was the coffee, and there were snack trays with veggies and fruits and others food items available for grazing. And after a little head scratching and a lot of screaming at the device to work, Laurie had even managed to set up a stereo in the corner, though the only two CD's she owned were Devo and Roxy Music. Perhaps someone would bring something else...
But the stage was set, and now all she needed were guests! Hopefully the others could find room in their schedules to celebrate Aaron's special day. Ninety-nine was too important an age to not throw a party, after all, and after all the recent bullshit the police force had endured, they really needed to let loose.
