Sanji dropped by early to leave several plates of dessert items for the sale. He knew people in the city were into cupcakes, for some reason, but he went different - unique, and tasty. There were cake-like amaretto bars, flavored chocolate truffles, and almond-raspberry cheesecake bites, everything arranged neatly and garnished with mint leaves or dusted in cocoa powder.

For now, Diana is dressed in a shirt and jeans while they're setting up for the party. She was in the middle of putting up decorations near the ceiling when she sees Sanji, so she floats down to the ground to greet him.

"Those look delicious, Sanji."

He glanced up to see the voice approaching from above - oh heavens! Time for a big stupid grin. "Miss Diana, in the flesh! Ahhh..." Ahem. "I wanted to bake a pie, too, but I didn't have time. I hope these will suffice, for now?"

"Nonsense -- they're more than enough."

Diana takes the baked goods from his hands and places them on a table.

"I cannot tell you how much we appreciate you taking the effort to make these."

The hand was appreciated, since he was gracefully balancing several loaded plates at once. At least he hadn't had to carry one on his head this time - that was for special occasions. "No, no, it's my pleasure," he assured. "It sounds like it's a good cause, and I have the means to help out. I'm sorry I won't be able to stay for the party, though - the club needs me on hand tonight."

"It's quite all right; although I'm sure your presence will be missed."

Diana eyes the sweets. If she wants to eat one, she'll have to buy it. "No doubt your confections will be a big hit."

"I hope so." Sanji waggled his curly eyebrow. "Maybe a little sign on it saying 'donated by the head chef at All That Jazz' would help? I didn't think of that before now."

"That's a great idea!" Diana begins hunting for a pen and paper. "And it can serve as advertising for your establishment, too."

Bingo. Sanji had thought that as well, but he didn't say it out loud. Better that she did. "That's a wonderful idea. I'll even sign it, so people know it came from me directly."

Diana bends over the table and in flowing script writes the name of his club on a fancy piece of stationary. She leaves a space underneath for him to sign. "Here."

He took the pen and added his signature, a bold hand with an elegant twist. And tried really hard not to glance sidelong at the lovely lady so close to him. Really hard. And failed.

"Thank you, Miss Diana. I hope this does some good for the charity."

Diana shakes her head in amusement. Silly man, why is he thanking her?

"It definitely will, Sanji. I myself will be buying some of those truffles -- they look heavenly."

Sanji beamed happily. "There's mint, mocha, and orange-flavored. I try to keep the flavors suble, chocolate can be a fickle thing."

He breathed a sigh, then. As much as he wanted to hang around and chat with the ladies, he needed to get to the club before most of the evening's staff. "I leave it in your capable hands, then. Tell Miss Angelica I said hello - and good luck."

Diana gives him a grateful smile as she accompanies him to the door. "I certainly will, thank you, Sanji. I wish you luck tonight, too."

Angie was inflating black and orange balloons with a rented helium tank, trying best as she could to tie the strings onto them before they floated up to the ceiling. Occasionally, one would get away from her and float up and she'd fly up to retrieve it.
