The apartments in the Mac were generously sized, for city living, but had not been designed for four people to live in. On the other hand, compared to the tumble-down place where the Mu had been before, it was warm, safe and...well, habitable. Even if somebody had to sleep on the couch.
And it came with friends!
One friend in particular made a point of stopping by regularly, and very quietly making sure everything was as comfortable as possible. The place stayed tidy, the kitchen well-stocked, and there were always fresh flowers. New clothing appeared for all of them - Kurama had a good eye for sizing other people up, and stuck to the same color palette that each Mu had been wearing when they came here.
So it was a fuller apartment to which Yusuke returned. Kurama simply hoped it still felt like his home.
