At Mytho's encouragement, Duck had made her way to the park to see if she could help his friend Ken. Like so many other people in the City, a shadow had been cast over his mind.

It felt good to know that Mytho trusted in her--in the power of Princess Tutu--enough to ask her to help one of his friends. And judging by how angry and miserable the lone boy looked, he was going to need as much help as she could provide.

"Um," she said softly as she came closer. "You're... Ken, right?"

Ken had an expression on his face that had looked as if the boy had spent the last two hour sitting under a rainstorm. He still cut a somewhat, sinister looking figure clad in his cape, costume, and glasses despite his short frame.

He lowered his head with a scowl as he turned towards her. "Correct... and you're 'Foie Gras' right?" he said with a dark smirk.

"I--uh--I'm Mytho's friend, Duck," she replied. She couldn't help taking a half-step back: he reminded her of a young version of Rothbart from Swan Lake, powerful and dark.

"I remember you..." Ken kept said as he his head low. An odd sense of gallows humor being the only thing keeping his temper in check.

"I'm promised a cure and I only find a quack." he said showing some cynicism beyond his years. "Typical..."

"I--wait--I--"

She had to take a deep breath to calm and reassure herself.

"I can help you," she said, although it came out far more timid than she intended. "If you'll let me."

Ken paused for a moment his eyes closing as he shook his head.

"Girl... I've watched a friend be turned into a weapon. Seen a creature that would normally not harm a fly go feral, and in a fit of rage I almost hurt your friend Fakir in the delusion I was helping a friend of mine." Ken said. "I may be beyond help."

The sympathy she felt for Ken, for the sadness hidden behind his dark facade, was enough to bring a warm glow to Duck's pendant to match the one in her heart. Swiftly the transformation took her over, filling her with Princess Tutu's grace and power.

"No one is beyond help," she said softly. "Please. Come dance with me."

Ken paused for a moment a bit stunned by the transformation. His blue eyes grew wide behind the glasses in shock for a moment as his jaw dropped.

"You want me to what?" he asked clamming up a bit, as he slowly stepped back in an awkward fashion.

"Dance with me," she repeated, her hands moving gracefully in the mime for dance above her head. "Show me what is in your heart."

The former Digimon Kaiser froze for a moment confused at the magical girl. His head lowered for a moment as he frowned. His heart felt heavy. Behind his anger, his paranoia, and his flamboyant costume was an overwhelming sense of misery. He had failed to protect friends. He felt weak and helpless.

The boy hesitated for a long moment as he tried to look away before slowly stepping forward nervously extending an arm for help.

Tutu smiled sweetly at him, a genuine and accepting smile, and slipped her hand into his. Her touch was warm, reassuring in itself.

"Dance with me, Ken. Together we will restore you to who you used to be."

Ken paused for a moment trembling at the girl's touch. His face flinched for a moment still skeptical, still afraid, still feeling an intense desire to extract revenge on the person who did this to him but... there was something different. It was impossible to be angry when seeing that smile.

"Very well." Ken said, his bowing for a moment. The boy paused for a moment, suddenly unsure of himself as he let the girl take the lead.
