Courtney couldn't hide the smile on her face as she raced across the City skyline, the wind whipping through her hair. Maxine was here! She'd been moping around all week since Mary disappeared...the girl had been sort of a...reassuring voice here in the city. It wasn't so bad, Pieter was here, and Zatanna, and others...but still. One of her actual friends had gone...and now one of her actual friends had arrived! It...well, it made her feel a little better.
She hadn't even bothered to change into her costume, so she was in jeans and a green t-shirt as she flew across the sky, her sneakers dragging along faintly behind her in the air. The idea of Maxine staying at the MAC was a bit unnerving...the MAC was a pretty unsettling place, and the idea of there being cameras in the rooms really, really bothered Courtney. She wasn't even sure if was true! But still...
The MAC was pretty far below her when she spotted it, and she angled the Cosmic Staff down towards it, leaving a glowing trail against the evening sky as she zoomed down. When she spotted Max on the roof her grin got even wider, and she was nearly running as her sneakers hit the roof a second later, leaving the staff floating behind her.
"Maxine!"
Yeah...she was a bit excited.
