He was home, by some fluke. He was going over paperwork related to Aaron Grey's murder charges, as he had been all day in the office with Reilly and Gemma. He hated taking that stuff home with him, he'd wanted to spend the time with Natasha, to see how her investigation into Tony's claims against Osborn were going, but he knew she was more than capable of working on her own, and Aaron really needed the help more urgently than Natasha did.

He was engrossed by the paperwork, so much so that he'd been able to successfully ignore the tapping on the living room window. Well, initially anyway. When the tapping started again, it was enough to get Matt off his ass and into the living room to investigate.

He could tell who it was right away, the sound of her heartbeat was unique, even muffled by the glass. He had no idea why she would be coming to him like this, at Natasha's place. No doubt, whatever had happened wasn't good.

"May?" He raised a brow at her, opening the window to let her inside. "Are you alright? What's the matter?"

"Did you know?"

No attempt to start out pleasent, no preamble. After Reilly's roundabout way of confessing, May just wasn't in the mood for a wandering conversation. She crawled most of the way in, but remained perching on the windowsill rather than enter all the way. This may well be another conversation that required a hasty retreat.

"About Da- about Reilly."

Matt might have looked surprised, but he wasn't. He knew this was coming, he'd known from the moment Reilly had told him the truth that May would need to know the truth, and that she wouldn't be happy when she did. Now all he could do was play the role of listener, and just let her be angry, or frustrated or sad, if that's what she needed. He wasn't going to fault her for that.

"So he finally told you the truth, huh?" He stepped aside, to allow her in if she wanted. He wouldn't force her, of course, but Tasha wasn't around, and there was a big, comfortable sofa and a kitchen inside. May would probably be more relaxed if she wasn't clinging unnaturally to the side of the building. "Or did you figure it out on your own?"

"You did know. You- you knew we're related and just..."

Gave her every opportunity to see Reilly. May huffed in the window for a moment, half tempted to just leave. She was upset and, rationally, she knew she shouldn't be mad at Matt for what Darkdevil had done but...it just felt so easy.

After a minute, though, common sense won out and she sulked into the apartment, though not before glancing around for anyone else. Pissed she may be, but this wasn't a talk she wanted to have in front of an audience.

"He told me because Ben's here. Only because of that."
