Norman came downstairs soon after Freeze had paged him, not bothering to return a response. No need; he wanted to overview what work had been done anyway.

Walking over, he nodded to the man when he saw him.

"Let's see it."

Freeze says nothing more, but he opens up the lab.

There are two rows of cryogenic capsules, reclined into small cradles. There is the occasional hiss of escaping gas.

"I prepared a dozen capsules. This will account for breakages and unexpected events."

Smiling, Norman nods, hands sliding into his pockets.

"Good, very good, Freeze. I'm impressed. I don't suppose you ran into any problems?"

He walked over to the capsules, observing them closely.

"None."

He gestures at their cradles.

"Their main power supply is lithium-based. It should run for ten years without replacement. As for the capsules themselves, they can be detached with an internal supply lasting two and a half years."

"Perfect." Norman hid his grin behind his palm, admiring the technology. This should come in handy, he could tell it would.

"I suppose you'll be wanting to discuss compensation?"

"I was not finished." He says, with some annoyance. People skills are hardly in his vocabulary.

He suddenly kicks one of the canisters, knocking it from its cradle. It hits the floor...and bounces once with a heavy clange, then rolls. It might say a lot about his cybernetic suit that a tube weighing several hundred pounds was simple to kick over.

"The tubes themselves are made to be durable. They will remain powered, without their cradles, for over a year. Longer, if they are in cold temperatures."

He turns to face Osborn again.

"I recommend a facility proof against electromagnetic pulses, for maximum viability."

Smirking, Norman watches the canister roll along the floor, hands in his pockets. He stops it with his foot and looks at Freeze again.

"Doable. I can arrange that rather easily." He bent down to pluck the tube up, feeling its weight and texture. It certainly felt durable. "It wouldn't be the first time an EMP to hit the city, far too foolish to wait for there to be a second time."

"I trust these will be sufficient for your needs, then."

He does turn, momentarily, to check the system readout of one of the tubes, the professional making sure of every detail.

"Aside from the freak chance of an EMP blast, your only worry will be earthquakes. They are easily mobile, so moving them to a more secure facility will not pose any difficulties."

"Oh, very." Norman smirked again, setting the tube back down with the others. He turns to Freeze, casually slipping his hands back into his pockets.

"Your attention to detail is much appreciated. You've certainly earned your keep thus far."

"Naturally. I am the best at my work."

It isn't a statement of ego, so much as simple confidence in his work.

"What project shall I begin next?"

He does not ask what the canisters are for - frankly that is immaterial to him. He merely looks towards the next day, the new task.

Norman steps away from the canisters, head tilted thoughtfully as he considers the next project. He had an idea or two, but the main thing he had wanted were the cryogenic chambers. Nearly anything else, he could take care of.

"How portable are you capable of making this technology?"

"How much portability do you require?"

His answer is simple, as it needs to be.

"In a manner that I can pocket, should the immediate need to arise. Say, something that can be thrown and freezes upon contact. It doesn't need to be at the same level as these, of course -- just a temporary fix."

He didn't elaborate further.

"Difficult. If you wished lethality it would be simple. But given superior materials, better circuitry...it can be done. Two weeks, perhaps. I will make a list of my requirements. And the person may not be intact, if your aim is poor."

"Just name the materials and they'll be provided," Norman said, with a curt nod and a bit of a sneer. "But not to worry. My aim is never poor."

He notes the sneer.

"I will have a list to you in the morning."

And he will certainly give him something that works - but not as powerful as his freeze gun. And certainly something he can survive being exposed to.

"Now, as to my compensation. I require some cash, but also some components."
