[This isn't the first time Apache's seen people hopping around on the rooftops. She has gathered that only imPorts do it, and on some level, it makes sense. It grants a better view of the City for exploring, and it means being spared questions and stares. Although Apache doesn't particularly care if most humans find her frightening, sometimes it's nice to just be left alone. Admittedly, that's a little harder when someone's just hopped on the ledge next to the one she's perched on]

[She addresses the new arrival in Spanish] Wasn't expecting company.

[At the moment, she can't speak any English, though she's gotten into the practice of keeping her communicator handy in case she needs things translated. It makes in person conversations a little slower, but possible when they otherwise wouldn't be.]

[ Well, she was right about one thing: this many imPorts made her running around in costume downright mundane. You'd need an air traffic controller to keep everything straight. ]

[ Unfortunately, she doesn't speak Spanish, or even understand it. Ten just gives this new person a look. ] Guess you've got this building covered.

[Apache wasn't precisely in a costume, but with a horn on her head, dark blue hair and mismatched eyes, it wasn't like she really blended in, either]

Huh? [Oh, right. English. She pulls out her communicator, speaks, and lets it translate what she has to say]

...didn't think this many people would get their kicks by jumping around from roof to roof.

[ Ten had just assumed that that was her costume. ]

Seems to be a national sport.

How do you get the communicator to do that?

[ It's not something she needs, but it wouldn't hurt to know exactly how much the device can do. ]

[Apache doesn't quite get the 'national' reference, having grown up in a place without nations. She does understand sport, though. Her communicator translates what Ten has to say and then Apache's own words]

I'm kinda surprised. I thought the risk of falling down and being street pizza would've turned more people off of it. Unless that's the part that makes it a sport. Doesn't seem any crazier than that stupid jumping from somewhere high up with a giant rubber band wrapped around your legs thing.

[Someone saw bungee jumping on TV and doesn't get why someone would find that enjoyable. Holding up her communicator, she points to a couple of buttons]

It's like using it to translate a video post, except you have to press this button, too.
