Usually he would retreat to his room when he needed to think, lock himself away with his inventions and tell everyone not to bother him. But this time was one of the rare occasions when he - to borrow a 21st century phrase - needed some fresh air. So here he was, wandering the streets and parks and ignoring the stares of passersby, thinking about what the future held - Kell-el had mentioned his legacy in a far less positive light than Indigo had. Perhaps she would never exist in hs world, or a very different version of her would, eventually. There was no way to know for sure. And he couldn't be sure that she wasn't from his world until he talked with her further, either, which he fully intended to do.
