On the other hand, Soundwave had just.. died. And in the worst way. She'd been doing her best to pretend it hadn't happened, that he'd just been ported out, but she couldn't keep that up forever and knew it. Some stress release would be nice.
She made her way to the park, "looking" for anyone who seemed out of the ordinary once she reached the best area for fighting.

He didn't really know if the girl that had ventured into his area was the girl from the communicator, but he was confident he would once he heard her voice. So he dropped down from his tree--silently, though probably not to someone who got most of their sensory information from the ground--and approached her from behind.

However, she didn't react, acting as if she saw nothing, heard nothing, knew nothing.
Until he got within arms' reach of her, that is. In front of herself, she flicked a hand, then jerked it sharply upwards, and suddenly a pillar of rock thrust itself from the ground directly in front of his face.
"It's rude to sneak up on someone, you know."
Reply
"Is it." One thing Hiei was particularly proud of lately was his increasing competency in English speaking.
Reply
"Don't you think so?" Good thing he could speak English; she didn't know Japanese.

In this case, he decided it would be best to stand his ground. Who knew if the column would reappear, after all.
"Not at all." And that was the main reason he had taken the initiative to start learning the language.

Yeah, those were better than her reflexes. Not that she knew how awesome his were, yet. It'd still be an interesting fight, hopefully.
She finally deigned to turn around, showing him a face full of black hair and faded green eyes half-hidden behind it.
Reply
"No, I don't think so. But more interesting is what skills you have."
His English wasn't as precise as his Japanese, but he was at least understandable.

She couldn't see that smirk, but something about his voice told her he was smirking, and that was a little annoying. Hmph.

And then came the unmistakable sound of a sword being drawn. Hiei was ready if she was.
Reply
"Whatever, man."

With that, he rushed toward her with his first strike, a blow aimed at her torso. He would reach her in a matter of seconds.

As was her way, she waited until the last possible moment to react, a foot sliding forward causing the ground under the demon to slide sideways under his pounding feet. It was followed by spray of small rocks to pelt him hard and fast.

She scowled and changed tactics, slamming a foot into the ground then sweeping her arms toward him, 'bending three simultaneous ridges of rock about six feet high in a spray formation directly at him.
Without waiting to "see" how he reacted, she stamped again, raising a nice tall column with her on top.
