He's been watching for some time. Every day, he checks the network, and every day, he catalogs what he finds. He also has his ear to the underground, listening to the whispers, the rumors, that are true as often as not. There's been a disturbance of late, a disruption of the balance, and though he is wary of it, Slade hasn't felt it necessary to intervene. His own plans continue to proceed smoothly, and despite the vague sense of loss he's felt over recent departures, he is still as implacable as ever.
However, even criminal masterminds need time off -- a day to be what the rest of the world only believed it truly was.
'Normal.'
And so he does, donning civilian garb for what would likely be a rather boring twenty-four hours. Not that he minds. In fact, it's almost...refreshing. Amusing, even, to watch how people spent their days. It isn't his world and never will be so it's no surprise that he walks most of the time, with little desire to linger.
