He was bored anyway and needed a good laugh. "You've got to be kidding. He's scrawny!"

"Cute." The Japanese accent caught his attention and strained to listen but he got the gist of what was being said. Being around Spanish speakers most of the time really paid off.

Of course he had! Just how many times had he come down here, exactly, checking in on shipments for Winner Corp.? Too damn many for this fool to be asking him stupid questions, that was for sure. And he didn't have time for this, anyway; if he didn't get his sketches to the technician group soon, they'd have nothing to do the next day. They'd be behind schedule again.
"Just be careful," the young man said, his decent mood for the day nearly evaporated by that point. "He'll be upset if you drop the glass this time."

Rin and her group of friends giggled together for a while.
"He's pretty pretty, isn't he?"
"Eh?"
"Handsome, maybe."
"Hot. The word you're looking for is 'hot'."
"Go talk to him!"
"No no, me!"
But after further giggling mostly all that was decided was that no one wanted to take the plunge. So Rin, who cared slightly less for all these social convention things than her friends (who cared as long as she wanted it?) was the one to break away from the group and go trotting up, lightly flushed and only slightly awkward.
"Hi!"

The dock worker shot her a dirty look before moving on to go take care of the rest of the cargo shipment.
"I'm sorry. Do I know you or something?" he asked, taking in the sight of the group of friends in the distance and furrowing his brows. If this was some kind of a joke...

"No," she said, "but IIII think that you should, so I figured I'd introduce myself! My name is Rin."

He nodded once in response to her name, not bothering to give his own--no, no, nobody else needed to know his name that damned badly, and he didn't like being pressured into giving it out anyway--and turned back to look for the dock worker.
Unfortunately, the man was no longer there, and so Trowa turned his annoyed gaze on one of the stumps on the pier instead.
