I am not a man to hunger for blood...

WHO: Miles Edgeworth bluffing_ruffle and Obi-Wan Kenobi taughttolisten
WHERE: The Jinn Memorial School of Complex Paragraphery
WHEN: Monday evening, July 19th
WARNINGS: Some violence. Possible violation of house sparring rules.
SUMMARY: Things have become... somewhat strained between these two. And on top of the delicate emotional balance of things, swords have become involved.
FORMAT: Paragraph (at least to start)

On the inside of the studio door there hung a neatly written list, black ink on white paper, the handwriting clear and the language simple:

SPARRING: HOUSE RULES
Duels are between two participants only.
Weapons must be practice-caliber.
Points are scored by strikes above the belt only unless otherwise noted by participants.
Standard duel is to five points.
AGGRESSIVE USE OF POWERS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

In the middle of the studio space, silent and calm, Obi-Wan went through the motions of an old basic drill with a rented saber in his hand.

He'd spent several hours that day simply getting used to its weight: while a lightsaber wasn't exactly heavy, the nature of the blade did tend to create more resistance than one might find in a simple metal fencing sword. And if he was set on proving one thing during this--this match, this duel, whatever it really was--it was that he would let nothing catch him off-guard. Not prosecutorial tricks, not the balance of an unfamiliar sword, not the rules of this planet's traditional concepts of fencing.

He would be, as he always was, untouchable--the quiet and unmoving heart within a circle of inviolate space.
