Helena hurried home as quickly as she could, all but flying across the rooftops. She knew that Dinah's visions were less than pleasant for her in numerous ways. They never showed anything good and they were never very fun for her physically. She hadn't heard her friend sound quite so scared in a while. Normally this was the sort of thing that Barbara was best at dealing with. But Barbara wasn't here, not their Barbara, the one that cared about and worked with them. So Helena felt like she had to be Barbara to Dinah as well as herself. She knew she wasn't good at it, but she had to try.

She was through the door and into Dinah's bedroom in a flash. Once she was there though, she realized she wasn't entirely sure what to do.

"Hey, you okay?" she asked.

Dinah looked up when Helena entered the room, there were tear stains on her cheeks but she tried to smile. It was a forced smile, she was sure Helena would know that but she tried anyway. Maybe if she forced the smile Helena would believe her when she told her she was okay.

"I'm okay, just fine, really," she said. It was probably obvious that that was a complete lie, but Dinah felt like she had to try anyway. She didn't want Helena to worry about her.

"Yeah, sure," Helena said. She sat down on the bed and put an arm around Dinah, feeling only slightly awkward as she did so. She could see the streaks on Dinah's cheeks from crying but didn't mention them. She had no doubt that if Dinah was crying it was for a good reason.

"Just give me a moment then to sit here and calm down from my mini-freak out."

"Sorry...I didn't mean to freak you out," Dinah replied, hanging her head. She squeezed her eyes closed, as if that might somehow force her to remember more about what she'd seen.

"I feel so stupid." Which was a huge understatement, she actually felt like the biggest idiot on the planet.
