SUMMARY: Bruno heads out to a toyshop to pick up some Duel Monsters paraphernalia and oh hey the guy working here has a really familiar sounding voice.

Bruno seemed to have walked in on the end of a conversation between a couple of people near the front of the store. He stood by for a few moments and listened with a smile before stepping aside to let the boy and his mother go by. Then he looked back toward the guy they'd been talking to.

He was having the odd feeling that he knew him from somewhere, but Bruno couldn't seem to place him. He seemed to know about Duel Monsters, and Bruno had noticed that not many non-Imports had hair like that... hmm.

It didn't occur to Bruno that he was kind of staring rudely at the other man at this point.

I love how all Domino residents can recognise eachother by "YUP THAT THERE'S SOME YUGIOH HAIR."

Bruno took the 'can I help you' as an (unwittingly correct) indication that Bakura was an employee, and walked up to him cheerfully. "Hi! Does this store sell Duel Disks?"

Bruno smiled and followed. "Yeah, plenty familiar." He paused for a moment while considering whether he should go any further, but then decided to go for it. Even if this was just a regular City person, most of them had been pretty nice to him about not being from here so far. "I'm from the place where it was made, actually!" he finally said with a hint of pride. "I'm an Import."

"You're... huh?" Bruno didn't quite process that right away, but the the name and the sound of his voice suddenly made it click. "... Oh! You're that guy from the network! The one who responded to me first, right?"

Bruno held out his left hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you too!"

"Um..." Bruno surreptitiously rubbed at the back of his neck, thinking fast. He didn't really feel like going into the whole 'I don't actually remember, I've been trying to figure that out' spiel right now. "I like to change it up, you know? I play a lot of different styles," he said, hopefully casually.

He tried to switch tracks to the subject of the display they'd just reached, which really did look impressive. "Neat," he said, squatting down to try and look at the Disk from all angles, checking the differences between this model and the modern and historic ones he knew from back home.

"How easy is it to take apart?" he said offhand.

"Well, either way, Yuusei has lots of experience modifying these. Maybe I should pick up a rotary cutting tool on the way home..."

After a moment he looked up and realized that Bakura seemed a little confused. "Ah, I'm buying one to see how they work here."

"Oh, he--"

Er, wait. Bruno cut himself off. Considering that his conversation with Kaiba had been set to private, Kaiba might not have wanted the fact that he was working on a D-Wheel to get out before he was ready to announce it.

"Er, it's not anything like that, I'm just curious," he said, mostly sincerely but somewhat quickly.

"Don't worry, I'll try and stay on his good side," Bruno said, unable to prevent a slightly conspiratorial smile from peeping through. He really was kind of giddy about being able to present a design to the Seto Kaiba.

He picked out a boxed Disk from near the stand and stood back up. "You've got cards here too, right?"
