He has taken his time. Priorities or not, arriving in such a wondrous and truly mad place led to some exploring. After all, he has precious little idea what to expect. And there were such things to see.
And he has long since removed the Luftwaffe uniform he arrived in, aside from the excellent leather jacket. There is still a uniform, to be sure, but some careful exploration and a few questions asked produced - at high cost - the uniform he used to wear, in his first war.
Since he has the time, and the choice, he will not surrender in anything even remotely connected to the regime he was an erstwhile soldier of. His pistol is at his side, one of the little bits of protocol to be observed, since there is no sword to hand over.
The young policewoman waits for him outside. There may be backup, it is difficult to see in the glow afforded by the street lights against the night sky. He comes to stand in front of her, snapping off a crisp salute.
"Major Hans Von Hammer, Jadgverband 99. I wish to formally surrender myself."
