Aaron was not used to parades like this. He'd had no idea what he'd volunteered for, but he had been expecting something a little less...well, like a party. Fact of the matter was, someone had to run security, and so here he was, peeling another sticker off of the back of his meticulously-kept suit as he walked down the sidewalk, making certain that everyone was able to enjoy themselves.

Seras spotted Aaron walking down the sidewalk, and decided to surprise him. Creeping through the crowd the best she could. Once she gotten behind him, and was close enough she reached out to tap him on the shoulder. Hopefully he hadn't noticed her trying to sneak up on him.

In the sea of people, Seras had the stealth advantage, between her lack of a heartbeat, and the crowd masking her scent as she approached.

At the tap on his shoulder, Aaron raised a hand to check his jacket for a sticker while turning his head calmly. When he saw Seras, he cracked a modest smile. He was genuinely glad to see her here, and sounded it too when he greeted her.

"Ms. Victoria, it's good to see you."

"It's good to see you too, and surprising. I didn't think you'd come to an event like this." Then again she hadn't expected to see him in a bar that one night so perhaps she needed to adjust her expectations of the man. "I see you've managed to stay mostly sticker free at least."

"Not without effort." He holds up a small collection of stickers torn from the jacket, all in a neat stack, stuck to each other, though they seem to have been torn into small pieces before being stuck together. "I'm helping with security detail."

She laughed a little. Somehow she knew he'd be a big target to the people at the march. "I see, and how has that been? No one causing trouble I hope. It would be a shame to have to ruin the mood by arresting someone."

"So far, stickers seem to be the biggest of my concerns." He gives a glance over the crowd, he is on duty, but that doesn't mean he can't talk. "I wasn't expecting this for the parade, but it's interesting to see how some people celebrate."

"I know! It surprised me too. Guess it's really important here." She looked over at him. "You've been enjoying it right? Even if you're on duty?"

"The energy of the crowd is contagious." He verifies this with a small smile on his face.

"It is." She hadn't thought it wasn't possible for her to be affected by it likes this anymore, but it was nice to discover she was wrong. Vampire or not she could still have a good time. "Are you on duty all night?"

"My shift is about over, actually." He glanced at his watch, he'd volunteered for the late afternoon/early evening time slot and had only a short time left in his patrolling before he could head back to the precinct before going home.

"Oh good. Are you going to stay for any of the events, or have you had enough of the march?" He was probably tired, but she just wanted to make sure.

He gives a small shrug.

"It's been interesting, but I think I've had my fill of excitement for the day."

"I can understand. Just keeping the stickers off of you must be exhausting." Right as she finished saying this she had several plastered on her back by passersby. Thankfully none of them were anything too obscene. "What the? Hey!"

Sighing she let them go, and started trying to pick the stickers off her back. "Well I suppose it's just a part of the celebration even if it is a bit odd."

Something about her reaction made him smiling almost to the point of revealing his teeth. He knew he was a target all day, appearing stiff-backed and uptight, and he was willing to put up with the reaction to his posture. Seeing a fellow officer suffer a similar fate entertained him after all day of being at the receiving end of the same antics.

"Would you like some help with that?"

"Yes please," she said slumping her shoulders forward, and sounding quite defeated. Bloody stupid stickers. At least Aaron had gotten a laugh out of it. That helped take some of the annoyance out of it.
