Josh didn't want to get out of the apartment, really, but Scathach was annoying him. She was always there, watching him, like she was waiting for something to happen. And she was just in a bad mood besides.
So he decided to actually go out. He had told Annabeth he'd try and get the program on her laptop to work on her phone though, and after delaying a day with an excuse that he needed to look up more information about the phone, he knew he couldn't put it off anymore.
Really, all he wanted to do was just play video games. At least they could distract him from how much he missed Gemma and how badly her rejection had hurt. He had thought she was so into him, he had been sure, but then she had just... rejected him. His teenage mind was fairly certain the world was over. Only the lure of working on computer programs and doing stuff with an ancient language had been enough to lure him out of the apartment.
Hopefully being out of the apartment a bit would help improve Scatty's mood. Plus he really wanted to see if he could port over this software. So, knocking on the door he was almost eager to get started.
