WHO: Sally Blevins and Danielle Moonstar WHERE: an ice cream shop WHEN: Tuesday WARNINGS: HIVE PTSD SUMMARY: Ice cream can't make everything better. But you can let it try. FORMAT: Quick
[Sally was already standing in line, trying to figure out what flavor she was in the mood for. She turned when she heard her name and reciprocated Dani's wave. Sally found it funny how people could live in the same place and not see one another all that often. But their lives were busy and after the last few weeks it was easy to see how lost in their own work and lives people could get.
It also made it easier to stay in her room uninterrupted if she was in the mood for it.]
How excited are you that it's summer vacation finally?
[Dani joined Sally in line, smiling at the person behind them to soften the line jumping. She looked at the menu briefly before settling on something she knew she'd like. She smiled at Sally.]
More than you know. It's been a crazy spring.
[Head tilt.]
Must be nice not to worry much about school schedules. How have you been?
I'm going to start looking into this week so I'll let you know if I need any help.
[She placed the napkins on the table and shrugged.]
Well, I did get that one flying lesson with Ms. Pryor in. And now Scott's teaching me. I'm still not too sure how to tell Alex that I'm not trusting that woman anymore since he was so happy someone else finally was.
Well, no. Not really. But I'm better than I was right after it. I'm on leave from the bar so I have time to try and work everything out. What about you?

[She ordered her ice cream and waited for Dani.]
And I've been okay. Did you hear about my moment of stupidity when I had flight lessons with Madelyne Pyror?
Reply
[Dani put in her order, taking the number and heading toward a table.]
There's more to this moment of stupidity?

[She grabbed some napkins and sat down at the table.]
Aside from me being a complete idiot and actually trusting the woman for a little while? No. Not really.

[Dani sat down at a table that had more privacy compared to the other ones.]
Did you learn how to fly a plane? Or did that end up down the drain too?

She was a different person a long time ago. Never again.

But then after I went Warren told me all that happened and...yeah. I can't trust her.

How've you been holding up since LA?

[Sally shrugs, and swirls around her ice cream.]

I wasn't on the same part of the front line as you. I'm glad that we got to help a lot of people.
