Cass hated Father's Day. Well, she didn't much care for Mother's Day either, but Father's Day was worse. She hadn't known her mother for most of her life, and was raised by her father. And their relationship was... complicated.
She paced back and forth in the parking garage as she waited on her sparring partner to arrive. She just wanted to exchange some punches, and hopefully stop thinking about her dad. A day celebrating him... that was a joke. She just had to look in a mirror and see the scars left from the 'games' that they used to play to know that he had been a terrible father. But he was still her father, no matter how hard she tried to distance herself from him. And that's what made things difficult.
She slammed her fist into one of the concrete pillars in the garage in frustration. What a stupid holiday.
