Eli was in the middle of a very serious round of Modern Warfare when he thought he heard tapping on the window. He thought maybe it was gunfire but the sound was there when the round was over. Glancing around he saw a face staring back at him from the window.

"What the-!" he shouted, spinning around in his chair and falling out of it. Bounding up from the floor he looked again to see if he was seeing things. He wasn't, a face was still there. Wanda's face. Had he fallen asleep?

"Wanda!" he shouted, rushing forward to jerk the window up. After a few tugs it slid up.

"Are you crazy, what are you doing?"

She didn't even have the presence of mind to laugh at him for falling out of his chair, scrambling through the window without waiting for him to get out of the way and nearly tumbling to the floor in front of him as a result.

"Whoa, hey!" Eli cried out as she fell. He reached out and grabbed her best he could, trying to not grab anything he shouldn't be. It was hard though because there wasn't much covered and what was covered was in slippery silk.

"What are you- why are you at my window, did you climb up?" he asked. "And you look like you've been in a fight."

At his last words, she had to laugh, helpless and a little hysterical, leaning on him heavily. It was harder to muster words than she'd hoped -- how does one even explain what just happened?

Once she started laughing, Eli got really worried. She was hysterical, out of it, and... smelled like sex.

"Wanda," he said, gripping her shoulders and looking her in the eye, trying not to freak out too much. "What. Happened?"

His concern sobered her, and she found her footing, meeting his eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm okay, really. I just-" Just as abruptly, her gaze dropped. "Had to get out quickly. I didn't mean to intrude, I- I didn't know where else to go.."

"Wanda, you smell like-"

Eli couldn't quite bring himself to say the word. Hopefully she would know what she smelled like. Otherwise it would be really awkward.

"And you look like someone's shaken you," he added, growing more and more concerned.

Wanda blinked, color climbing slowly across her face. "Well, um, yes, that would -- that would make sense, except.. no one shook me, it was just a lot of.. er."

This was.. even more awkward than she'd anticipated, actually.

Eli paused for a moment and took in what she was saying. That was... a new one. Usually the girl came to him after a bad break up or something, not... post coital.

"Why don't you go take a hot shower then," he suggested. "You'll feel better."

Without warning, her eyes welled up, all the stress finally catching up with her in the face of common kindness. She opened her mouth to agree, or thank him, or something, but instead she just sobbed, crumpling against his chest.

"Whoa, hey, you don't have to shower if you don't want," Eli said, not sure what else to say as she sobbed against him. Reaching out he wrapped his arms around her and held her close, not sure what else to do.

There was a little snuffle of laughter amidst the sobs as she clung to him, almost afraid to lift her head and face him again. He was being so nice -- it was why she'd come, but now that she was here she couldn't handle it.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," he said, even though he didn't know if that was true or not. In fact, he really had no idea what was going on other than Wanda was having some sort of break down.

Eventually, her sobs abated, lightening into sniffles and then disappearing altogether. Still, Wanda didn't immediately move, stealing another moment of comfort from his embrace.

Eli pulled back some, reaching up to wipe away the remaining tears on her cheeks. Whatever made her cry, he was glad hugging her was able to help it.

"Feel better?" he asked.

Wanda smiled weakly, leaning into his hand.

"A little," she answered, voice a bit hoarse. "I.. sorry about that."
