Life would probably be easier if there were no such things as blackouts. Crime just went up so fast when the power was out - it seemed like normally nice, law abiding citizens would be making off with something valuable that wasn't theirs. And something had happened tonight, for some reason the power had cut a few minutes ago for a bit of the city. And what luck that it was an area with shops scattered across it.
Terry was kind of tired of always being so lucky. On the positive side though, it made tracking down crime to bother a pretty simple business.
He'd been flying low, gliding through the maze of buildings with the suit's complex web of sensors picking out environmental data for him, when he caught the sound of breaking glass - that was his que.
It was a jewelry store, such a cliche, a couple of people reaching through the bars to clutch at gold and diamonds. Terry sighed, narrowed his eyes slightly, and neatly dropped onto the top of a dead streetlight in a crouch. "Pretty sure that's not yours. Now, are you going to put everything back where it belongs, or are we going to do this the hard way?" It was just looking like they were going to choose the hard way when someone else arrived on the scene. Well this was good.
