What's the matter, Elliot? Nervous? Frankly, I'm not surprised.

What's to say you've got the wrong man?

I don't. You know how I know I don't?

Because this just confirmed it.

You have no evidence.

Only the person I'm seeking would be paranoid enough to contact me. I only know a few people that paranoid. See where I'm going with this?

Granted, I could be wrong. But really, how often am I actually incorrect?

So. Why are you gracing me with your ominous contact?

I'm telling you to drop it.

The murders have nothing to do with you, and if you continue to pursue it, you're going to regret your poor choice in actions.

You've been good so far. Keep it up. You know how I get when people make the unwise decision of betraying me.

You're scared. You're actually worried about my influence, aren't you?

Oh my. This is fun.

How am I betraying you? I daresay you made your position on our working relationship quite clear last time we met. Think of this as my response.

Your influence? Hardly.

You have no idea what's really going on here, Edward.

And my position? You were the one that ran away like the sniveling coward you truly are. So let's not get into specifics, shall we?

Denial sounds good on you, Tommy.

I know more than you are inclined to believe. I know and opportunity when I see it.

Living in the past will only spawn heartache, Hush. Yes, granted, you had the upper hand when you nearly killed me, but even that plan failed, didn't it? Well?

Let's just say I've changed.

You seem so very confident of yourself. Perhaps you'd like to show off this new ego of yours to my face.

Changed? Really now. As in, losing your touch or gaining a new one?

Sorry, Tommy, I'm not looking for commitment right now. I'm a careerist, you know.

Why don't you inspect that crime scene one more time?

And no, you're a coward, as you've always been. You could make this easier on yourself, or you could make this difficult. I've established contacts who would be more than willing and capable of finding out where you are for me.

Only this time, you won't have anywhere or anyone to hide behind.

... I have to hand it to you, there was a degree more of precision. Surprising, considering how your practice has been declining.

What, you're not going to do the dirty work yourself? I get trailed by pawns? How wounding.

And really, why would I willingly place myself into your hands? However you deign to portray it, easy or difficult, we both know how it will end up. We both know.

You're not the only one who holds grudges.

Declining? We'll see about that.

"The coward only threatens when he is safe."

Play your cards right, Edward.

How ominous.

... Yes, I had almost forgotten that quirk of yours. But you of all people should know of Aristotle's take on reversals and revelations. Welcome to your tragedy, Thomas.

Easy to do when one possesses all the aces.

Tragedy? No. The Cat jumped the shark there. Now it's time for my rebirth. Initially, I considered my arrival here a curse, but now I'm beginning to see that it indeed has a few merits.

Go on. Tell them all who did it. You'll be hailed as a hero, but then what? You'll have nothing.

And you still won't know who I am, what I look like, or whether or not I'm watching you right now Edward.

One wrong move...
