[Oh hey look, it's Dr. Strange. But he's not hanging out in his dusty old kitchen this time. Instead he's in a well-lit little Yogurt Shop. In the background, one Dr. Zoidberg can be seen, all bundled up in a winter coat.]It's come to my attention rather recently that there's been some miscommunication involving our delivery policy. Pinkberry ( Read more... )

Wait a minute. You work at Pinkberry?

....You're hardly making use of your talents, Strange.

A dimensional fluke has, rather generously, gifted me with this place and I couldn't bring myself to close it. Not when my Sanctum was just as easily located a few blocks North.

Dr. Zoidberg usually manages the day-to-day business. He just doesn't do very well in the cold. I imagine his species has a predisposition against it.

[She laughs]

Interesting. I think you could manage without the place, but you men always do fall back on what's convenient.

I can't say I know too much about John's species, but it doesn't sound like they can handle cold well. Can't you just have someone else do the deliveries? ...Not that I'd want Zoidberg indoors all the time if I had to work with the guy, but it's a thought.

Everyday he tells me something new about his species. If he's to be believed, they're cold blooded, fast on high holy days, and die after mating. Frankly, at this point I've come to the conclusion that he's just a compulsive liar.

We're in the process of hiring. Unfortunately, someone has to fill orders while we find someone.

With as strange as it may sound, I wouldn't come to that conclusion quite yet. Alien races are curious in their biology... and culture.

So you're saying you need to stick around at least until that process is done. Maybe once everything is finished you should consider a job that might actually be worth while. Not that serving Pinkberry to every woman in the City isn't an honorable profession.

I've done worse things with my time. In fact, I'd say I've done worse while working in a more honorable profession.

When we're properly staffed, I'm hardly involved in the business at all and it gives me a steady enough income to live off of. Further, it allows me time to spend with my protegés and their business.

Ohhh I get it now. A simple job so you can spend your free time doing what you want. I guess I can understand that.

So, you got a lot of protegés around then?

Two, unless they've found a way to duplicate themselves. George and Fred Weasley.

Oh, I think I've seen some of their work in the Magic Convention. I didn't realize you were their master... er... teacher. Whatever term you magic people use.

Business partner and book keeper would be more technically correct, though chaperon is also rather apt. They're very talented, but also very impulsive. And they would do well to learn to perform without wands.

You don't use a wand, huh? I guess you're not really your stereotypical wizard though, so I can't say I'm too surprised.

I own wands, but my magic doesn't require them. They are helpful for certain higher level spells, or invoking certain deities, but the boys seem to need them for performing something as basic as a vanishing charm and it bothers me to no end.

Maybe they just don't have the skills.

Oh, no. They're quite skilled. I think in their case, it's an issue of concentration or simple youthful laziness.
