[ The video feed clicks on. Finally. Twilight had been working on that for a while, trying to get it working with her hands rather than magic.

Still hard things to work with, hands.

She sets down the communicator on a surface of some sort and steps back. She looks incredibly happy ( Read more... )

[PEERING IN FROM... above the camera somehow. Who knows what she's standing on.]

Good grief, Twilight! Do you always go through this much parchment?

Well, I usually have Spike take down my checklists for me. [ She's tossing stuff around, trying to find more parchment. ] And if I don't, then I write it using magic. So I don't end up wasting an entire roll of parchment with hoof-[ non ] -handwriting that can't be read.

[ But that's not even what Pinkie's referring to. Yes, her checklists are always that long, Pinkie. ]

Yeah, but why do we even need a checklist here? We just need movies and popcorn and candy and soda pop and anything else that somepony might want!

H-Hold on, Pinkie! I haven't found any more parchment yet!

Candy, popcorn, soda pop, movies. Candy, popcorn, soda pop, movies. Candy, popcorn, soda pop, movies...

Hi Twilight! How's your balance?

If you're having trouble writing, you could always use the communicator to record a checklist. It has a voice recorder built into it too.

Or, if you wanted, I could teach you how to write.

[After watching for a moment as Twilight rummages through things increasingly frantically, Pinkie comes over to the communicator.]

I'm not sure about everything else, but Twilight always loves to learn new things. I'm sure she'd be really happy if you could teach her!

[Vivi doesn't immediately recognise the speaker; it takes him a couple of seconds to remember]

Oh, Pinkie Pie. Hi. Is Twilight okay? She can probably stop rummaging now; I can bring some paper over.

Oh! [ Have a Twilight poking her head up now. ] Vivi!

Please, if you could bring some paper, I would be very grateful.

[ Twilight stops her search to head back over to her communicator, giving it a smile. ]

Don't worry about my hands. I'm just not used to writing yet, I suppose. [ And did you see the size of that list? Anybody would hurt their hands after writing out that much. ]

But I'm afraid I haven't been to a "cinema" yet. That's another word for theaters showing movies, right?

....If you don't organize it, how can you be sure that it'll be fun? You might forget something, and besides, if you have a checklist, you can have all of your ideas prepared beforehand!

... Take it easy, kid. It's a movie watching party; no one's expecting a gala at the Ritz.

But if I'm the one hosting it, I need to make sure absolutely everything is perfect. So that way everypony can have fun!

Sure, but no one's gonna have fun if the host gives herself a nervous breakdown trying to keep them entertained. Rein it in a little, you'll do fine. It's movies and snacks! You have to really work at it to mess up that kinda shindig.

[ One might think that, but her first sleepover ended up with a tree inside of her house.

Her house which was a tree itself.

Treeception. ]

I'm... not so sure about that. I'd really feel more comfortable having a general idea of what to have and what to do.

[ To her, a "general idea" is a checklist with only fifty items... ]
