[When the comm turns on, it’s a little shaky at first but then Babs moves it to somewhat settle on her lap. The camera focuses on her and Dick, both laying on the same cot in the emergency clinic set up by Topher. Between the two of them they might have enough energy for an average person, but it’s plain to see that they’re severely lacking in that

[despite the fact that he is in the same clinic like, six or seven beds over, he's still texting instead of just looking over and talking]

[ Maybe on another day with a little more blood flowing upstairs he'd have been perceptive enough to pick up on that one right away. As it stands he just texts back after a little delay. ]

Then you will have lost your powers. [considers] Not very good timing. [running through mental permutations on advisement--since he's just kind of assuming Dick relies heavily on powers in the way a lot of imports from his own world do] I'm told this area is protected.

[Babs offers an exhausted wave, glancing over at Ghost. Hey she sees you there, bub.]

[Rumbled. He glances over, setting down the device to talk to her directly. He's still got his mask on, so his voice is tinny and robotic, but the bandages wrapped around his chest and arm belie any notion that he might not be flesh and blood.] Are you comfortable elaborating? [a beat, as he sits up gingerly] Was it in relation to the monsters?

[Babs offers a smile to him, tired as it might be. She hopes just talking about it, even if to someone who really is unrelated. That's the first step to moving past, even if it's only been hours since the incident.]

My stepbrother had a grudge and knew where to find me.

[he exhales through the mask in a long thoughtful hhhh kind of sigh] My condolences. Statistically speaking, it seems to pour rather than rain.

[a pause as he mulls it over, and then by way of cautious introduction] I'm Ghost.

Barbara. [She makes a mental note to possibly recruit him later. It'd be nice to have another technogeek on a team full of people who can fly and do all kinds of things.]

I really shouldn't be that surprised. [A light shrug.]

Why? Did he threaten you beforehand? [a pause... Osborn certainly had the right idea keeping him in his tent pissing out, since the last Ghost and the last Oracle went at it like cats and dogs.]
