[Before the communicator starts transmitting anything intelligible, there's silence for a while, random button pushing that doesn't seem to do anything, then a grunt. Someone sounds annoyed before even having said a word; and when Big Boss starts to speak, it's in a very deep, but even, grating voice.]
...Hilarious. [And here he was thinking he wouldn't end up in the United States ever again, but this is unmistakenly New York, despite how much it has changed. And those flimsy, half-assed explanations and dog-tags just won't do, but let's see if we can resolve this peacefully for now. No one can blame him and say he didn't try.]
Pretty fancy tech, I'll give you that. [Dangerous, too- like all the AIs he's had the pleasure of encountering so far.] Suppose it shouldn't be much of a problem to get the White House on the line real quick then, right? [Said so casually.] Something's telling me Ford is no longer in office, but I'd like to have a chat with whoever's in charge regardless- I still refuse to take anyone's orders, and this isn't gonna change my mind. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
[A brief pause.]
... Ah, and it's Big Boss, in case we haven't had the pleasure yet.
[Because if that title was ever good for anything, it's for getting the attention of government brass and allies. Oh and enemies, but he can live with that. And if anyone else asks he can just make up a stupid excuse.]
