Funny how a gal can go from planning a major event, to not doing much of anything at all. It's almost like I'm at a loss of what to do with myself!
[sitting and chilling at...a bar. funny because she's been going around telling people she doesn't go out drinking all that much anymore...but she lied.]
Of course, I got notices after the party from the hotel's manager, tellin' me that some of the champagne glasses have been broken and some of these broken messes had to be clean up before folks stabbed themselves in the foot with glass, but they were minor things. It's not much of a party until somethin' breaks, after all. [a laugh] Drama happens, especially will all these hero folks around.
But with all that said an' done, I hope the lot of you had fun. Maybe we can do this again next year, considerin' everyone was standing around gaping at how much the auction alone raised. Goes to show you can't doubt a fella's competitive nature when a pretty gal's involved.
Speakin' of, I think I owe you a date, Mr. Langton.
