I mean, I suppose if someone's life back home was crappy, and their life here was much better, but that's not really the case with me - it's just a bit different.

Wow, seriously?

I just mean, in my case, it's not necessarily better or worse than what I came from, it's just different from it. But I'm doing okay, got a good start and all of that. At this point, I don't really want to go back because I'm sort of working my way up from the bottom here and I like that.

Yes, something happened and a lot of us lost our powers. It's been hard, living without them.

I bet. I mean, having powers for a while here, it'd be weird going back to not having them. And I've only been here a couple months.

Yeah. It can get crazy stupid sometimes, but I suppose I could imagine worse places to get dumped.

I might have to be here longer to really feel that way about it - I was doing pretty well for myself back home, and it was kind of frustrating at first to be here and have to start over from scratch.

But at the same time, I like the challenge.

That's a good way of thinking about it, I suppose.

Even back home, sometimes people are forced to move by circumstances beyond their control.
