They are fries-with beef gravy, and cheese curd.

[He thinks.] I think I'll pass on those. Never been a big fan of cheese on my fries. Are there any other foods from Québec you'd suggest?

[ Jean-Paul cannot help but chuckle at that. He usually passes on the poutine too, so that's acceptable in this case. Though only in this case. ]

There is tourtière, though it is a Christmas dish.

Mm. It is a-meat pie. Though not like those awful English ones.

Minced pork-sometimes with veal. Beef, as well, if you prefer it.

I see. The beef one sounds like it might be good to try.

Perhaps I'll have to find a place that serves such things around Christmastime, though I won't put much stock into it.
