I'm not sure if I'm going either. I don't know anything about it. And I really don't have anything to wear. It sounds fun though. Kinda wish someone had asked me to go as their date.

[A pause as she squints to see what he's building.]

Is that from Ikea?

I don't know much about either other than what's already been said. [He shrugs.] Why not bid on someone at the date auction? You get in free with them if you win.

I think it might be. I bought it online after I broke my other table.

Oh, I would but I really don't have much spending money.

Were you dancing on your table? I broke one once doing that.

Me either. [He smiles.]

Err, no. It was an old one I found and I crashed into while I was using my powers and it broke.

Oh really? I just found out my power! What's yours?

Well. I've got this costume. [He pauses, the gold and black costume appearing on him.] And I have what's basically a really complicated version of super speed.

Cool! I'll bet a quick trip to the store is really quick for you, huh?

[He nods quickly, costume changing back to his civvies.]

It is. I still kind of wish I could fly but super speed is pretty awesome.

What power did you get?

Oh, mine's not really a fancy, amazing one, but I like it!

[She holds the camera back and puts on her concentrating face. Then her hair starts to grow out at a rapid rate. One tendril lifts up and curls around her device, so she lets go and waves both hands at the camera.]

No hands!

[He watches curiously as the camera moves, jumping in surprise at the rapid hair growth. When waved to, he gives a little wave back.

Yeah, I don't even have to get up to get a snack bar out of the kitchen! I'm Erin, nice to meet you.

That must be useful, having as many extra hands as you need.

It's nice to meet you too, Erin.

Yup! It was pretty weird at first, but I've been practicing and I'm doing better at controlling it.

Have you been here long? I've only been here a month myself.

I imagine powers are weird for anyone that didn't have them before they came here. [A beat.] Or atleast wasn't around them a lot before coming here.

[He thinks a moment then looks a bit surprised.] Wow...it's getting close to it being a year actually.

Right! Where I come from, people don't have powers.

[A pause.]

Or, at least, I don't think they do.

Seriously? Wow, I wonder who's the imPort who's been here the longest.

All sorts of people have powers where I come from. My whole family had powers except for me.

Yes, seriously. [He smiles.] I don't know who's been here the longest but I know some people have been here about two years.
