[with the tail end of a light, long sigh, the feed turns on, and it's Giselle, sitting on the floor with a sofa to her back. a faint border along the bottom of the screen, black fur. everything has a very vague, gentle up-and-down movement as the big animal in her lap snoozes away.
her smile is present, of course, but only by default. she looks a bit spacey, and her voice has a sluggish kind of note to it:]
Hello, everyone...[smiling a little warmer with the address, seemingly more aware that she's talking publicly.] I do hope everyone is doing well. It's a lovely, crisp day...[eyes drifting away.] Though...I do wish I could see some more of the sun...Don't you think it would be nice? A little more sunshine to brighten us all up. I think so...
[a sigh, her shoulders rising and falling with it. it ends in a bit of a hum as one hand leaves the comm she's holding out in front of her to scritch at the furry body in her lap.]
I've gotten so wrapped up in things over here - I forgot I had this little thing for a while! Does that happen a lot? I didn't mean to be so forgetful...I hope you can forgive me. [a meek smile. then, after a slight pause, she opens her mouth to say something more, but seems to think against it, shaking her head just a little, letting it go.
instead, a happier thought with a gradually brightening tone:] You know, someone told me that we're going to have snow here. I've never been in a winter with snow before! I wonder what it will be like. I am getting more excited, thinking about it...It won't be too long, will it?
