[The video opens to Curtis leaning back in a chair in his apartment. The communicator is set up the coffee table in front of the chair judging by the angle.]

Hey, people.

First off, I hope all you kids from the school are okay. I'm really sorry about Dr. McCoy too...he was...a really great guy. Is. Will be again. Whatever...I'm sorry it happened and whoever's tracking down whoever did it, I'm available to help. If you need some phenomenal cosmic power, send me a call, y'know.

[He shakes his head.]

As for the second reason I'm talking to you all. I took a wander through a grocery store last night and an idea struck me.

[Curtis reaches out to turn the camera around, pointing it at a stack of boxes of pancake mix and other supplies. He lets the picture linger a moment before turning the camera back to focus on himself.]

Pancakes are my favorite thing to have for breakfast. So I'm going to do something nice for all you people out there. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to be making pancakes and anyone that wants some can come have a few. I'm supplying maple syrup...the good stuff...and some other toppings but you'll need to bring any drinks or special stuff you want.

So if you want a free breakfast, meet me on the roof of the MAC tomorrow morning. [A beat and he frowns.] Unless it's y'know, raining. Then I'll be down in the lobby.
