I want a healer. [ RUSTLE OF MOVEMENT and the view pans over to Booga, in a heap on the floor, who is looking... way worse off. Bloody and gashed up and pretty generally ( Read more... )

Was it? But you're hurt as well! He's simply...more hurt. All over.

[Still fretting, but an underlying tone of just pure curiosity now.]

Whatever happened?

[ one hand goes to that cheek-gash, and... frown. man, what is that blood doing on her fingers. lame. ]

I doubt "what" is very important here.

Oh, but it could be! The oddest things can be important to the right person.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they're any more likely to be told about them.

Hm, you're right. Not knowing can be important, too, depending on who doesn't know what.

[ a pause ]

What are you talking about?

Knowing and not knowing and- oh! A pox on me, you're still hurt.

[SO MUCH DISTRESS]

You've managed a healer?

Well, it seems not knowing can be as important as knowing something- or at least lead to equally interesting experiences, don't you think? For grand secrets, certainly, but even for something this simple, me not knowing allows for so many possible outcomes, all of which will end the moment I stop not knowing and instead know. But knowing would be a new experience from not knowing and that could lead to even better things...

It's all very equally amazing, really.

So, you're saying you don't mind not knowing.

[But he's talking! There's some relief]

No, no not at all. How do you feel?

Like my body's made of mush and I need a nap. Needless to say, feeling like hell otherwise.

Oh...I imagine when you're back in full health it will feel differently then it did yesterday now because of it, won't it? So much better in comparison.
