Genetically similar, or simply two people who look the same?

Either, though I was referring more to doubles in appearance alone.

It could just be a coincidence. The porter's choices seem hardly random, and grouping such people could increase the likelihood of running across those with physical similarities.

If the Porter is, in fact, looking for heroes as it says, I suppose it would make more sense to import people who are similar in as many ways as possible. Two for the price of one, in a way.

Though a broader search seems just as useful.

I have an apparent double in the city. He's quite popular and well liked, and I get addressed by his friends and kin regularly.

They seem to be grasping that I am not him, however, and this is occurring less often.

Besides appearances are there any other similarities?

As I have never met the man, I cannot tell you. I should like to eventually, if just to see if there are any other parallels.

You wouldn't find it strange? A face to face comparison.

It happens. Were you disappointed, then?

Disappointed? By what?

Them not being what you expected. Hypothetically, of course.

Hypothetically speaking, I didn't expect it in the first place, so it would be rather difficult to be disappointed.

Thank you for the welcome, sir, and for your question, I'm afraid I'm probably the worst person to ask as I've not been out enough, but I've not found anyone who looks at all like me. Or anyone I know.

I imagine you'll find the time to get out soon enough. Not that i'm implying it's likely you're to fond your own personal double, I imagine it's still quite the rarity.

Considering I'm heading out in a few minutes, you'll be pleased to learn you're right.

Something that's happened to you, then? I'm assuming.

You could say that, yes. I'm not entirely sure if it reeks more of the Porter herself or inter-dimensional.. how should I say, dopplegangers.

i had a lovely chat with him.

if this is an attempt at a doppleganger then it is a poor one. you are both markedly different.

Did you now.

I would hope so. I must admit, i'd be far less comfortable if he was in fact my exact replica. I'd prefer at least a modicum of difference.
