A question's all it takes to get my attention. Though it'd certain be easier if your time with m.a.j.e.s.t.y. left you with information to exchange.

I know what you know. What the other members are like, if they're willing to show it. And the information I have told Matsuka to spread.

I've read about your power on the Network. What are its limits?

Well i don't know all of their powers actually so if you could fill me in on that i'd appreciate it.

My range makes it to the edge of the city from here and a little ways into jersey on the other side. Things get fuzzy once i try going further than that.

I helped them prevent disaster in the Aleutians; some used their powers there. Sylph can fly. Knock-Out has telekinesis. Spikes has...spikes. They're not bone, but something else.

Prospect has some sort of prophetic clairvoyance. True-Blue could heal. Ultranova confessed to having exceptional senses.

I know nothing about Fugue, Driver, and Aether.

If your definition of 'done' is being able to trust the government, I think you'll be waiting a long time.

[A pause. He's used to trusting the government. This idea is a little alien to him.]

When I can trust that the government is not doing the same things as the one I knew did. I won't wait for complete trust.

Mm. That's a little more reasonable.

The desire for power and control over those with power is universal, among governments. I've seen it before. I'm glad you've chosen not to assist them.

I was part of it in my world, until...I chose otherwise. I won't be part of it again, and I won't watch it happen from a cell.

Are you sure you'll survive to be sentenced?

No.

Then this appears to be a lose/lose for you, Mr. Anyan.

Incorrect.

A loss would be if I participated in, or allowed, the same kind of regime I ran in my world.

You're asking to be incarcerated again.

If that's the result, I accept it.

[Pause.]

It's not a bad idea.

Perhaps. There are very few good ideas right now. I'll take what I can.

I don't like the idea of ANY group manipulating people like that. [she has a tone of voice that suggests she takes it personally] If their intent can be proven, I'm in.

But I need more information. What you know about them?

I know what you know--and I know that the process they use to make "metamen" is more dangerous than it seems.

I doubt a process like that is ever safe.

But we still need to know more about them before anything can be done. What do you propose?

Digital tracking, as well as with superpowers.
