[The video opens on a girl, high-school age, sitting at a desk. She's looking down into the camera, almost as if to make herself look taller, or perhaps simply because this is the only position she could angle it without the communicator falling over mid-broadcast. She's no one you'd recognize, and neither is the communicator number. (Alas, it is ( Read more... )

Is this all show or do you have anything that can be used against them?

It is a work in progress.

yeah? better than nothing, I guess. if you have any... useful information, I'd be very interested in hearing it.

I know a lot of useful information, but I'm pretty sure you're not interested in the fascinating process of growing appendages to more than a thousand percent the size of the mature version from which the former received its genetic code.

But I could be wrong.

I might be looking for an arm, if that's an appendage you might know about.

Preeetty sure I know the arm of which you speak.

I want to return it to its owner. if you'd be willing to help, I'd appreciate it.

It used to be in my lab. One of them. International waters, short hop from Greenland.

Now? I honestly haven't a fucking clue.

... Sorry.

...no need to apologize.

you know, people have told me that I'm fictional, here -- comics. one would think with how many times something like this has happened in my world that at some point it would have been published and people would realize how bad of an idea it is to create groups like this, particularly if it means harming others in the process.

Well, those warnings would have kinda been destroyed when you showed up.

hey, I've seen fanfiction and conventions and stuff. you can't tell me there aren't geeks like I have in my world here.

Despite the name, Vulcanus isn't made up of the people you'd find at a sci-fi convention.

it would be easier if it was. kinda sad that they didn't do their homework, either way.

I'm Zatanna. and I hate to reiterate myself, but I really really REALLY would appreciate it if you had any useful info if you'd let me in on it.

Candy.

[Her voice is a bit softer than it's been most of the post. Anger's burning out.] What are you looking for useful-wise?

It's nice to meet you, Candy. I hope, at least. you could be lying, but I don't think you are. I'm rather good at reading people.

someone will be asking you for specifics soon. [Sup Waller.] I'm personally invested in this, in case it wasn't obvious. I'd like to know if [a] the arm is currently attached to someone, [b] if you don't know, if there is a way to know, [c] why I was not able to locate the arm via magic, and [d] I guess I'm just really concerned about that one.

A is a no. Definitely not attached to anyone. B: if you help me get back at them, we might be able to find it. As for C, I'm a doctor, not a wwizard. I can't answer that one. I mean yeah magic and science connect, but I'm not that branch.
