Since the Network likes questions: do any of you consider this world home? Would you? Just curious. For people who've been here for months or years, it's still a big change, isn't it?

I've never been fond of moving, myself.

Can it really be called traveling when you're brought here without your consent? [ a vague hint of amusement. ]

Do you like it?

I was there, now I'm here, right? I might've gone if they'd asked, there was no reason for me to stick around. And- I dunno if I like moving, but I'm not sure I'd be terrific at sticking around.

What keeps you from staying?

In a way, sure. Kind of like back when you first move out for college, but your heart is really back home. This place grows on you, though. Just not because of all the keg parties.

Do you still want to go back to your home?

Yes, of course. But it waits, too.

You know, I haven't come across a single person yet who's had a panic attack over being stuck in another universe. [ maybe ned. ]

I have influence here, I find that as comforting as any home.

I wouldn't want to brag. Let's just say, if you don't know, you're not in the right circles.

I like my own circles just fine.

Home will always be home. But this place is home, too. I suppose this is maybe how an immigrant feels when they come to a new country.

[ sounding thoughtful: ]

I have been here a month...

A month after I arrived, I was reintroduced to the man I ended up marrying. You never know what can happen.

A big step to take here. [ that level of commitment in another world where you might be ported out. ]

I've been here on-and-off for over a year. It's an unwilling second-home at best but yeah.

You kinda have to. Whining's not going to make things any better.

[ pause... realizing this voice is familiar!! ]

Whining's never been able to do something good.
