[the video pops on with two light-haired siblings peering into the camera, one with her back straight and legs crossed and the other slouched back on the couch, hands behind his head.]
I'm tellin' you Rose, it's hells of obvious. We are basically in a massive MMO crossover the likes of FF.net have never seen.
[ she looks massively disinterested,

[ LOOKS AT. SIR YOU LOOK FAMILIAR ]
And wizard slash is just an appellation for his idiocy. Ignore it.

[Sirius's hair is shorter and he's...actually younger than Gary Oldman was in the movie, so it's not a perfect parallel, but keep at it, Rose. You'll get there.]
You seem to be using the word "slash" in a new and interesting way. Enlighten us on the slang?
Reply
It's a terminology for homosexual intercourse.

Let's move on to "weeafag". Please explain?
[He regards her peering calmly, and then just tosses her a bone.]
Sirius Black. We haven't met. Unless I've been here and away without remembering it again, but I doubt it.

Nice to meet you, Miss Lalonde.
[Wow, she was completely agog. In the wake of Gamzee's nonsense and his research before talking to Edward Nygma, Sirius had done some reading up on the comm logs, and had gotten a certain impression of Rose. 'Easily star-struck' hadn't been part of that description. It's quite endearing, but how to proceed? Well, when in doubt, do what you do best.]
You haven't read any stories about me, have you, now?
[I'd say that he would regret teasing her later, but he won't.]

I have to admit that I've read a few.

Seems I'll have some living up to myself to do, then.
I tend not to think about it very much - when it all comes down to it, whether I'm fictional or not doesn't have any bearing on how I feel, or how much impact I have on the people around me. It's not an invitation to be cruel, or to distance myself from the world.
And if I'm still just playing a role in a story, even now, then it's no different from the existence I've always led, so how much practical difference can it make? There are worse things to realize than that you've got a lot of character.

I do believe that the only difference being fictional may or may not play on you is simply that others know your story.
And that's not entirely erroneous.
But the way you look at it is certainly a sight others should share.

[Sirius delivers that with a mild tone, but an ever-so-slightly-pointed look.]
I won't argue that you've probably got me at a disadvantage. I've heard about the books and that they are fairly accurate on most points, so I imagine you know rather a lot about me, past and future. I've seen you on the comms, but that's no way to meet a person.
