[the video pops on with two light-haired siblings peering into the camera, one with her back straight and legs crossed and the other slouched back on the couch, hands behind his head.]

I'm tellin' you Rose, it's hells of obvious. We are basically in a massive MMO crossover the likes of FF.net have never seen.

I can't believe a writer would bother to come up with me.

But on the other hand... that would be cool. To be a writer's dream.

Why would you think that? That a writer wouldn't bother?

The postmodernity of this conversation is fascinating, btw origamiguardian July 14 2011, 21:41:15 UTC
I can't think of what you'd write. I don't have many friends. I don't really say much.

My sisters, on the other hand...

Well, they're interesting.

Your stories? Perhaps. I can't say I've been privy to them.

Miss Readman, a friend of a friend. She's a Paper Master, like me, but far more powerful. She worked for the British Library.

... which in my world, ran a secret intelligence agency. [because there IS a real British Library, but it doesn't have a special operations division. OR DOES IT?!]

Ah...

And what, exactly, is a Paper Master? Besides a master of paper.

[she's been getting asked this a lot, so she's been practicing an answer] We telekinetically manipulate paper, binding, folding, and animating it in a variety of forms and hardening it to a strength and durability akin, roughly, to steel.

[holds her hand up to the comm's camera, and an index card slides out from her sleeve, transforming into a tiny bird--still obviously white paper, but perfectly bird shaped--which flutters away]

That's a rather unique power.

[blushes] I guess. Though I know four other paper masters at home. Well, three now.
