Sometimes people go home, then come back, but don't remember every being here ... I'm told that's happened to me a coupla times. But from my perspective, I haven't been 'ported back yet.

Nah, almost the opposite. I was here, I blinked, and then I was still here, no intervening memories of back home ... it's just that it's now two weeks later.
