Have you ever read any of the older myths involving Arthur? They're really pretty interesting, especially since some of them differ quite a bit in some ways from Le Morte.

Which ones?

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is the only pre-Lancelot tale I've read personally.

( he likes talking about this it keeps him from being sad at the moment... )

I was mostly thinking of Geoffery of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae. You can find some translations of passages online and some summaries if you know what to google.

It's really more of a historic account than it is a myth. Kind of dry at times, but one of those things that gets really interesting when it's three in the morning and you're bored with nothing better to do.
