Hello? I understand this should let people hear what I’m saying. I hope I’m doing it right, I’ve never used one of these before.
Well, in any case, I was told I aught to introduce myself, and I wouldn’t want to be rude. My name is Daine. I just… arrived in this city this morning. Some friends of mine have been able to show me around, but it’s much too big to see everything in one day.
There’s just one question I have that they weren’t able to answer… You see, I’ve never been in a city quite like this one, and I’m a little confused… How do you find work here? My friends suggested a few places I think I might like, and I received a few papers, but I’m not really sure what to do with them. If it isn’t too much trouble, could somebody help me? I don’t know what I could do for you in return, but I’m certain I can think of something.
[ An awkward pause, and then: ]
