So today's Decoration Day. I heard they were calling it something different, now, but I forget what. And that's the thing about remembering, is that once you stop it's hard to even figure out the shape of what it is you forgot.

But- there's gotta be a parade or something, right? I think I better watch, at least. I'm prob'ly supposed to.

It's Memorial Day now.

Right. I should've guessed, I've heard people call it that before.

I don't know that it's much of a parade holiday.

You'd maybe think that, but it's a tradition. They held it every year when I lived back in Ohio. Which was only for the one year, but cripes, they were proud of it.

I've only ever really commemorated it by visiting veterans' cemeteries and eating barbecue.

They had paratroopers march 'round the capital in '42.

'Sides, I don't wanna go sniffing gravestones.
