[The video feed comes up on a gentleman sitting in what must be Central Park, against a verdant background of green leaves. Where he is, though, is difficult to say - you can't see any pedestrians around. Hm.
He is completely expressionless, to the point that it's a little disturbing. He is also dressed to kill - his white suit is spotless, his bow tie perfectly tied, and somehow he not only makes that neon green dress shirt work, he makes it look like the classiest thing you've seen all day.
He speaks with a light accent - it sounds like British, except there's something a little off about it, perhaps an echo or a whisper or a touch of white noise. ]
Greetings, City. It seemed appropriate to alert you to my presence here, as that would be the general tradition, would it not? Arrive here, angrily spout about how you've been taken from your homeland, have a dozen helpful commenters instruct you on your business before a heartfelt reunion with your friends here or a loud fight with your rival; or in some cases a bout of sorrow as you realize you are alone.
You may spare me your introductions, your information concerning the nature of this place, and, indeed, much of your history. I already know. My rivals also do not seem to be in residence, and I have no friends. Yet who am I to break with tradition...?
As a courtesy, I am composing this introduction as a video post, as I understand that most of you would not take kindly to my usual method of textual communication.
