Mr. Murdock. Thank you. While it appears I've only been absent a few months, I hope things have been somewhat uneventful in that time.

February was a bit of a mess, but the City has been relatively calm in recent weeks.

[A moment of pause as he determines the month he left. It's been much longer back home.]

I was sent home near the end of January. Dare I bother asking what happened?

[Seras looks shocked at first, but after a moment a big grin is plastered on her face.]

Thank you, Seras. How is the police force faring?

We're doing what we can. We had to fight off the Major again, somehow he figured out how to make more vampires, but he's locked up in the asylum now. We also stopped a shooting at one of the malls, thankfully we got all the civilians out first.

It's been a lot of work. Oh, and I made Sergeant.

[Somebody just might be beaming a little about that.]

[His mood isn't completely changed, but he can't help but feel proud with her about her promotion. Right now, he's willing to ignore that revelation about more vampires to try and find something positive to focus on.]
