[Here's this guy that people may have seen around, and he looks so mad. He is also crushing a piece of paper.]
It vexes me to see that a man may defy mortal laws as he likes and yet take them up as weapons to serve the cause of enmity. 'Tis a mockery of a noble endeavor.

[SLAMS DOWN ON A NEARBY INNOCENT OBJECT. The point has completely eluded him.]
He uses his power to incite a foolish and bloody battle, topples Asgard, comes to this place and claims he recalls nothing, takes yet more innocent lives, and dares trouble me for these trifling grievances as if his plight is undeserved!

Here on the mortal plane, it is necessary that we follow mortal laws. They are unfortunately not always right or just themselves, but we cannot ignore them without being responsible for the fallout that will bring.
If we wish to bring down Osborn, we will need that law on our side, and having gods among us belittling it will not endear them to us.

And when the mortal government demanded that all those with powers must submit to them or suffer imprisonment, was that law as supreme and unquestionable as the others?

My point, is that you'll only make yourself an enemy of that law conducting yourself this way, and should you do so, you must be ready for exactly what that means.
You are a god, Thor. You have to understand that puts you in a delicate position of public scrutiny.

What would you have me do to appease this public scrutiny? Seek Osborn's forgiveness?

We need to maneuver the system ourselves, find some way to beat this. You'll need a good lawyer, obviously, but the fact that there's little chance of pleading your innocence will complicate matters.

[Pause.]
Nor would I ever beg forgiveness of a such a treacherous dog.

But yes, while there's little I personally can do, you have to understand that the courtroom is a place where not only what you say but how you say it determines everything. You need an attorney, their whole occupation is in knowing how to navigate those waters.

Aye, so I am told.
